NEW RIDER PROGRAM (NRP) LEVEL: This is unique to LTS and offers participants an opportunity to learn horsemanship skills as well as learn the fundamentals of horseback riding. 4 weekly sessions included in the package (registration must be done online). 2 packages (8 sessions) is typically required for riders to move onto our NRP graduate lesson. (No assessment lesson needed for this program)

NRP GRADUATE LEVEL: Graduates of the NRP will continue to learn and practice the fundamentals of horseback riding independently. At this stage, riders can tack/untack and walk and trot on their horse or pony without assistance. Riders at this level are welcome to start our "Introduction to Quarter Board package" including 2 weekly lessons.

BEGINNER I LEVEL: Riders at this level will work through the gaits, up into canter. They will continue to practice fundamental skills needed to lead into learning to jump--including a variety of positions, pole work, transitions and more! Riders at this level are welcome to start our "Introduction to Quarter Board package" including 2 weekly lessons.

BEGINNER II LEVEL: Riders at this level will be comfortable in walk, trot, canter and learn to jump small fences (under 18") with their horse or pony. They will continue to work on essential flat work and pole work. Riders at this level are welcome to start our regular quarter-board or part-board of school and academy horses.

INTERMEDIATE I LEVEL: Riders at this level will learn to jump small courses up to 2'3". They will continue to work on fundamentals including transitions and pole work. Riders at this level are welcome to explore dressage lessons as well. Riders at this level are welcome to start our regular quarter-board or part-board of school and academy horses.

INTERMEDIATE II LEVEL: Riders at this level will be jumping courses up to 2'6" to 2'9". These riders will be able to ride some of the greener (younger, less experienced/trained) horses and identify and correct areas of problem. Riders at this level are welcome to start our regular quarter-board or part-board of school and academy horses.

ADVANCED LEVEL: Riders at this level will ride with our Head Coach, Tessa, and often be a part of our Sr. Show Team. They are experienced riders who are jumping courses of 3'0" and higher. They are often supporting the training of young and green horses and ponies and often coaching our more junior riders. Riders at this level are welcome to start our regular quarter-board or part-board of school and academy horses and often lease or own their own horse/pony.
